When you’re a politician, knocking over a kid while trying and failing to make a ridiculous basketball move is never a good look, but that’s not the key thing about this Gavin Newsom clip.
No, look at the recovery — the cradling of the kid to cushion the blow, the hug and good-natured thumps on the back, and the big grin.
This is genuine political skill, people. We should all pay heed.
