SENATE REJECTS COBURN’S ATTEMPT TO MAINTAIN MEDICAL PRACTICE

Sen. Tom Coburn’s (R-Okla.) resolution to allow him to continue practicing medicine failed to win the 60 votes necessary to clear a parliamentary hurdle, with a slim majority in the chamber backing his effort to operate a zero-profit practice.
