On Thursday, military analyst and AEI scholar Fred Kagan will present a report: “Choosing Victory: A Plan for Success.” They will have some impressive and provocative ideas, including a “sustained surge of U.S. forces to secure and protect critical areas of Baghdad.”
Kagan worked on this report with military and regional experts, including “former acting Army chief of staff General Jack Keane, former Afghanistan coalition commander Lieutenant General David Barno, and other officers involved with the successful operations of the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment in Tal Afar.”
Kagan and Keane will present the report on Thursday, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, at AEI’s headquarters in Washington.
