Ambassador Rice’s Weird Implication

Ambassador Susan Rice doesn’t directly say it, but she appears to imply that the deaths of two American security contractors in the Benghazi is evidence that the security there was up to the task. That’s a bizarre logic.

Rice went on to point out that Marines aren’t present at all U.S. missions in foreign countries, so their absence from Tripoli is not in that way conspicuous. My favorite response to this came from ABC foreign correspondent Martha Raddatz, who said, “I’m pretty sure there are Marines in Paris, why aren’t they in Tripoli?”
