Vincent Cannato — a sometime contributor to NRO and a longtime friend of mine — has a new book out: American Passage: The History of Ellis Island. I haven’t gotten a copy yet, but I can tell you now that Vin is a top notch writer, a meticulous historian, and a brilliant guy.
