An American President in Paris

An e-mail:

Dear Kathryn Jean,

I’m French and I live in Paris. I was just taking a walk with my 6-year old nephew in the Bois de Boulogne half an hour ago and we spotted an unusual number of police officers… 5 minutes later we were watching the presidential motorcade passing in front of us! Apparently President Bush was riding inside limo #2. My nephew was extremely impressed by all the Secret Service equipment. After all those difficult years between France and America, it was really moving to welcome President Bush as a personal friend of our own President. For a Frenchman, to see the President of the United States in person is a once in a lifetime event. I feel blessed.
