Levi Johnston, fiancée of Governor Palin’s eldest daughter, has resurfaced in the news. An AP report says, “No, he wasn’t held against his will on the campaign trail. No, he’s not being forced into a shotgun wedding . . .”
And here is what the 18-year-old Johnston himself has to say: “None of that’s true. We both love each other. We both want to marry each other. And that’s what we are going to do.”
Let’s listen to that again: “We both love each other. We both want to marry each other. And that’s what we are going to do.” I think that’s the best, most uplifting statement I’ve heard all week.
