News bits from my old home, where I used to have the honor of voting against Tip O’Neill and Ted Kennedy:
* State Rep. Pam Richardson wants to give illegal aliens the right to vote (here is the video). Our friend Michael Graham has helped direct attention to this latest outrage. Actually, Massachusetts has surpassed mere “people’s republics”; I resided legally as a student for two years in a real people’s republic, the USSR, and they didn’t allow me to vote, even in their phony elections.
* It was news to me, but there’s something called the “Massachusetts Environemntal Police.” At first glance, it looked like something that would send a shiver up Al Gore’s leg, with uniformed officers combing through your trash to make sure you put the No. 1 and 2 plastics in the recycling bin. Alas, in the “too good to check” department, it turns to be basically just the state’s fish and wildlife service. What’s more, they actually arrested an illegal alien and turned him over to ICE!
