A reader makes a good point about the quote from Bashar Assad in that Hersh piece:
“Carter is most knowledgeable about the Middle East and he does not try to dictate or give sermons,” Assad said. “He sincerely is trying to think creatively and find solutions that are outside the box.”
Assad said that? Really? “solutions that are outside the box”? I wouldn’t have guessed that [Bashar] Assad used that kind of language. Does he have a consulting background?
Why yes, and he desperately wants some cross platform synergies with Hamas when they destroy repurpose Israel.
