Lots of email from readers about dogs and souls and stuff. Reminds of a joke my mother-in-law told me (as best I can recollect):
A man is chased by a grizzly bear. There’s no way he can get away. He drops to his knees, clasps his hands and prays to God, “Oh Lord, please make this bear a Christian!” The bear suddenly stops and clasps his paws and says, “Thank you oh Lord for this meal I am about to receive….”
