This morning’s Page Six reports:

“Kevin Powell’s race for Congress took a slip Monday night went he told a Hasidic community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, he’d ‘bring home the bacon’ if he wins the 10th Congressional District.  The Brooklyn Paper reports ‘40 representatives of Williamsburg’s ultra-Orthodox Satmar community’ were at the introductory dinner where Powell made the non-kosher comment.”

Powell seems to have become famous through his appearance on MTV’s The Real World; for a biographical essay that makes Barack Obama seem a paragon of modesty and humility, check this out.  reports:
