Another Defense of Terrorism from Code Pink

“Dear friend,” Code Pink activists wrote this week. “Last night, Biden started bombing Yemen. Why? Because the Houthis in Yemen are blocking commercial ships from going to Israel, in protest of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. . . . The Houthis are blockading ships destined for Israel to hold up their end of international law: prevent genocide.”

Iran-backed Houthi militants have not blockaded the Red Sea or attacked U.S. ships because they are human-rights revolutionaries. Jim Geraghty reminds us:

The Houthis are essentially a wholly owned subsidiary of Iranian Mullahs Inc. and are one side in a long-simmering, bloody civil war in Yemen. The Houthis are the kind of militia who have adopted the Nazi salute, chant “Death to America. Death to Israel. Curse the Jews,” etc. The Houthis’ record on human rights, women’s rights, torture, use of child soldiers, and so on is every bit as appalling as you would imagine.

Why do supposedly peace-loving feminists so often rush to defend terrorism?
