Another Poll, More Trouble on Health Care

In this Fox News poll, only 12 percent say health care should be the most important issue for the federal government. By 51 percent to 43 percent, people don’t think Obama has a clear plan on health care; people are split on whether it’s best to pass legislation or do nothing; 47 percent oppose the legislation being considered now, 36 favor it; 48 percent oppose creation of a government plan, 44 favor it; 58 percent say health-care reform would cost them money; 45 percent think their health care would be worse under the legislation, 29 percent think it would be better; 79 percent think their taxes would go up under health-care reform; 64 percent would rather be in the current private system than in a government-run system if they were sick; 76 percent say the priority should be fixing the economy rather than reforming health care. Obama has his work cut out for him.
