Another Possibility

I wrote an earlier post suggesting two possible interpretations of Lady Susan Hussey’s questioning of Ngozi Fulani: Either she was being tactless, or she was being racist in asking about Fulani’s heritage.

Upon reflection I’d like to add a third possibility — that Hussey was neither of these things, and Fulani simply enjoys the social power that comes with victim status.

As always, I’ll leave it to the reader to decide which theory is most compelling. . . .
