Answering Schumer

From a reader:

Yesterday, Schumer was typically asinine, and mocking, when badgering Alito over Alito’s

pledge of open mindedness.

If I was Alito, I would have replied thus:

“Senator Schumer, if you knew, for a metaphysical certainty, that my pledge and duty to keep an open mind about matters presented to my court, was every bit as sincere as your own pledge and duty to keep an open mind regarding your advise and consent Senatorial role regarding candidates put up by the President, would that metaphysical certainty of the equality of our sincerity give you comfort, or would it be a cause for

concern?”
