AP Poll: Only 20 Percent of Americans Say U.S. Should Play ‘No Role’ in Russia–Ukraine Conflict
The headlines about this poll are highlighting the fact that only 26 percent of Americans say the United States should play a “major role” in the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
But the poll also finds that 52 percent of Americans say the U.S. should play a “minor role” and only 20 percent say the U.S. should play “no role” in the conflict.

The poll question does not define what a “major role” or a “minor role” would involve.
My guess is that most people would assume a “major role” involves U.S. troops in some capacity, but I’m sure we’ll get more useful polls soon that ask about specific policies.
