What country is this? Should we divide up the population and pick one representative of each group to decide what the law means? And if their chosen representative strays off the reservation and actually votes based upon his intellectual capacities or the meaning of the words on the page rather than a poll of his or her own race then does that earn an asterisk?
And, by this absurd logic, why aren’t Souter, Breyer et al all race-traitors for voting against the interests and/or views of their kind? The welfare state and affirmative action aren’t particularly good for white men and Jews now are they?
