Nobel Peace Prize winner Yasser Arafat marked Israel’s 56th Anniversary by encouraging Palestinians to “terrorize your enemy.” In a speech, he quoted from a Koranic verse, which states: “Find what strength you have to terrorize your enemy and the enemy of God” — a passage frequently cited by Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, Osama bin Laden, and other militants to urge their subordinates to violent jihad. Not to worry, though. The Associated Press helpfully explains, in what is presented as a straight news story, that “Arafat, whom Israel accuses of supporting militant groups, did not appear to be calling for new attacks on Israel.
