Athletes a New Terror Target?

Drudge links to this Times story which proclaims, “Islamist extremists adopted deadly new terror tactics by attacking international sportsmen.” 

The attack is horrible, but the tactic is not new. Perhaps Jeremy Page, who has the byline, doesn’t remember the 1972 Munich Olympics, but do no editors at the Times fact check?
