The Audacity of Barack Obama

Charles Kesler’s essay in the latest CRB is simply great and important reading. Also, the letters section discussion (you’ll have to buy it to read it!) in response to Bill Voegeli’s essay on conservatism and civil rights is a fascinating read for those interested in intra-conservative debates. And, as Andy McCarthy noted the other day, the review of his book Willful Blindness is required reading as well (and the book is required buying!). There’s much else that looks like must-read stuff, I just haven’t read it yet (somehow Bill Voegeli has become my new James Q. Wilson — the egghead I always read even if I don’t think I’m interested at first).
