Influential pro-life group Americans United for Life is calling for a Senate investigation into what they see as discrepancies between documents from Elena Kagan’s time as a White House policy aide and her testimony of this week.
The letter from AUL’s Action committee to its quarter-million members points to Shannen Coffin’s piece on pressuring a group of obstetricians to change their opinion on the medical necessity of partial-birth abortion, and also to separate evidence that Kagan may have also lobbied the American Medical Association into a similar change of stance.
