Autumn

Autumn is the reflective season,

Its cast of light a major reason;

Another, the surcease of photosynthesis

That leaves green leaves in a splendid parenthesis

Of curtained colors that wondrously

Were always there, though we could not see

Those lustrous reds and glorious yellows concealed

Till death their patient beauty revealed.
