David Axelrod doesn’t think Republicans are guaranteed wins in 2014 by running against Obamacare.
“If Republicans think they can get on this Obamacare kick and win in 2014, I think they’re mistaken,” he said on Morning Joe on Wednesday morning. “I think it is too facile to say, ‘We’re just going to talk about Obamacare and win this election.’”
Despite the health-care law’s problems over the past month, which may have allowed Republican Ken Cuccinelli to make up some ground in Virginia’s gubernatorial race, Axelrod pointed to polling showing that Republicans’ favorability and approval numbers haven’t moved much.
