I know I’m a sap and all that, but I feel for Obama on that front. I hate being on the road without my family and the idea of campaigning for two years while your kids are growing up without you would depress me terribly. That said, complaining about it and sounding self-pitying is bad politics, but for me it’s also humanizing.
