I mis-spoke when talking to the Collegian reporter, though.

I wouldn’t go as far as Bob Bartley, and say “betrayal” of conservatism.

I meant of course Bruce Bartlett. Apologies to Bruce for my tangled tongue not having properly acknowledged his true status as the premier scourge of GWB big-spender save-the-world faux-conservatism; and further apologies to the shade of Bob Bartley for having implied that he would have found any fault with the GWB presidency, if he had lived to see it out. (Well, to be fair, he might have grumbled some about the spend-o-ramas.)
