The Basis for Romney’s Confidence in Michigan

Despite polls showing a narrow lead for Santorum, Team Romney remains confident he will win Michigan because, as one Romney adviser told BuzzFeed:

“Once a message and resources are concentrated in a state and you ask Republicans to make a choice, the numbers tend to move.”

Maybe. But another victory won this way, by outspending his opponent five or ten to one in negative ads, will raise the question Santorum raised in his victory speech after Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado:

“Gov. Romney’s greatest attribute is ‘well I’ve got the most money and the best organization.’  Well he’s not going to have the most money and the best organization in the fall, is he?”
