In Pontiac, Michigan, the teacher’s union and one state representative are blaming a toilet paper shortage on “education funding cuts.”

If that smells funny to you, consider: Teachers in Pontiac made an average salary of $76,449, reports the Mackinac Center.

That’s money down the drain, considering that there’s been a 35 percent hike in teacher pay, even as there’s been a 45 percent reduction in the number of students.
