Beach Reading

I’m still in my undisclosed location, but the fact of the matter is I’m not sure I can make it back this calendar year. I’m reading Brian Doherty’s Radicals for Capitalism (I’m reviewing it for NR, someday) and it’s just a really big book, nearly 800 pages including footnotes. I don’t think I’m ruining the integrity of the review if I say it’s very impressive (so far). There are arguments  to be had with it (and I shall make them). But, if you want to grasp the intellectual root system of libertarianism I can’t  think of anything written remotely recently that comes even close. But, do clear your calendar before picking it up because for  slow-readers like me it’s a long haul.
