I must point out that he sounds positively Santorum-like here (from Deroy Murdock today):

And Rudy did campaign for Rick . Giuliani-Santorum 2008? That might make Peoria give the NY guy a second look (will they forgive Santorum for being from the northeast too? Perhaps, since he’s “an Italian kid from a steel town .” So many questions…)
