Bedtime Stories

Cultural literacy starts at a young age, when parents begin to share stories with children. Today on Between the Covers, I interview Maria Tatar, author of Enchanted Hunters: The Power of Stories in Childhood. We discuss why so many children’s stories include elements of terror and horror and whether the purpose of bedtime stories should be putting kids to sleep or something else.
