There was an interesting interview of André Previn published in the Guardian. I’ll try not to be too jealous: I tried mightily to interview Previn earlier this year, but was blown off. Anyway — my favorite bit from the Guardian interview? “The last time he heard a piece of new music that really set him on fire was when he was a teenager, listening to Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.”

That sounds about right, ’dré. (May I call you “’dré”? No? Sorry, Mr. Previn.)
