If the rumors I hear mean anything (I’m not a gossip columnist for a reason, be warned), people are expecting Mike Bloomberg to show at his infamous Bloomberg afterparty after the White House Correspondents dinner Saturday , this year at the Embassy of Costa Rica. The problem? Because it’s smaller, and because it’s Christopher Hitchens, the rival Vanity Fair party at the same time, at Mr. Hitchens’s home, is considered the more exclusive, therefore hotter party. Now I know Bloomberg has a lot of money, but I just wouldn’t mess with Hitchens.
People still keep buzzing that Mayor Mike wants to be president. Making enemies with Christopher Hitchens is no way to start out is all I’m saying.
