Bernie Is Barney But Barmy

I have it on the authority of one of the wisest and canniest conservatives I know that Barney Frank is, in reality, a very smart man. But he knew almost nothing about the realities of finance and banking, which was a bit of a problem when he was chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, arguing that we should “roll the dice” on a housing bubble. That didn’t work out very well.

Barney Frank is Lloyd Blankfein compared to Bernie Sanders.

I offer, without further commentary, Jonathan Capehart’s partal transcript of the banking questions the New York Daily News editorial board asked Senator Sanders — whom the Democrats might very well nominate for the presidency — and the senator’s answers. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll check the real-estate listings in Darling Point.
