Twenty five years ago, I was assigned to work with the Belgium Army, and it was clearly understood that if you needed them to do anything, they fell back on the first English words they had been taught: ”We are a poor country, and this was not foreseen” . . .
What Biden didn’t understand is that Brussels was selected as the head of the EU more as a form of economic affirmative action, than that they had a special role in history. Maybe that’s why old Joe is so beholden to the land of the Walloons and Flems.
