Biden, chatting at a photo op or giving a speech as the star of the show, has some charm.
But his clear impatience and dismissive attitude tonight is incredibly off-putting.
Has he landed any real punches? A few. But he’s hurt himself far more than he’s hurt Ryan.
It’s not that Biden’s answers are bad. They’re the usual Obama/Democratic boilerplate. His delivery is just terrible. Grinning, grimacing, goofy looks. Calling Ryan over the clock, after filibustering? This would be a bad debate performance in a race for state rep.
From the sitting vice president? Yikes!
