Bill Clinton: Father of the Year

At first glance, it might seem odd that Bill Clinton is one of this year’s recipients of the National Father’s Day Council’s ‘Father of the Year’ awards. According to the Council, the awards recognize leaders whose “lives are dedicated to family, citizenship, charity, civility, responsibility and reverence.” Check out the past recipients, though, and I think you’ll agree the award went to a deserving person.

In 2009, General David Petraeus was one of the recipients; in 2007, one of the awards went to John Edwards; Hulk Hogan was another. Yeah, this guy.

An esteemed bunch, to be sure.
