I don’t watch Bill Maher, and haven’t since his Politically Incorrect days because, you know, life’s too short. But over at The Atlantic I saw this rant of his, which is ostensibly about how football is just like socialism, but which also manages to be insulting to Christians and Southerners and to uncritically endorse the Democratic Party, among other things. What separates Maher from other reflexive liberals of middling intelligence is the viscous condescension and pure hatred that I suppose you can click over there and watch it for yourself (language warning) but I can sum it up for you: Bill Maher hasn’t the slightest frakking clue what he’s talking about.
