NBC News confirms: President Obama will address the nation tonight to announce that Osama bin Laden is dead and that the United States is in possession of his remains. The Central Intelligence Agency led the operation.
UPDATE: Bin Laden was reportedly killed at a mansion outside of Islamabad with other members of his family. A U.S. “human asset” was reportedly behind the strike.
Outside the White House, spontaneous and sporadic cheers of “U.S.A.! U.S.A.!” can be heard.
