The Corner

Bipartisan — and Principled!

Can you be bipartisan and principled? Not clear. But very clever of Mitt to assert that as a goal.

Not cute for Obama to say that you have to spell out what you are going to do, specifically, when he kept ever so many of his real plans secret from the voters he needed in 2008.

When Obama tells me he believes in the American future, I think he looks tired. He cannot resist talking too much.

Romney looked fresh and energetic. His closing was coherent and fresh. Unemployment, Obamacare, suffering and misery, as well as dramatic cuts to our military, “if the president were to be reelected.” Nice use of the subjunctive there — future uncertainty.
