Updated: No Leadership Run for Blackburn

Update: Representative Marsha Blackburn is not seeking any leadership post, her office says. “The Congressman is not running for leadership,” says a Blackburn staffer.

Blackburn’s office had called around to other Republican congressional offices to get the personal contact information for members, according to two congressional staffers whose offices have received calls, prompting speculation that she was considering running for a leadership post. Per Blackburn’s office, it was a routine thing. ”Only in D.C. would someone read so much into an office updating its contact list,” said a Blackburn staffer earlier.
