Boehner Chokes Up Again

During 60 Minutes profile on Sunday, viewers got another opportunity to see Speaker John Boehner tear up.

While walking into the Capitol rotunda, CBS anchor Scott Pelley asked Boehner if he takes the majesty of the building for granted.

“Never,” Boehner replied as he got choked up. “For a guy who grew up mopping floors in my dad’s bar, it’s a pretty humbling experience.”

Boehner has previously grown emotional in public, including the ceremony at which he received the speaker’s gavel in 2010 and events honoring figures such as Winston Churchill and Neil Armstrong.
