Speaker Boehner stepped out of the White House negotiations on the sequester this morning to make a brief statement to the press. He announced that the “president got his tax hikes on January 1st,” and the “discussion on revenues is over.” The speaker also announced that the House will move a continuing resolution next week to fund the government past March 27, in an attempt to avert a possible government shutdown during the ongoing sequester fight.
