In May of 2005, Star Trek: Enterprise (the last Trek series) went off the air just as the final Star Wars movie hit theaters. The editors of The New Atlantis—all science fiction geeks as you might imagine—saw fit to mark the occasion with a joint obituary, which quite fittingly was devoted mostly to Star Trek.
