Book Bleg

I’m looking for a good, well-written book by a credentialed historian (but one who can WRITE!) about Henry VIII’s dissolution of the monasteries.  Anyone got a suggestion?  I particularly want the human side–good descriptions of what actually happened to the foundations and their inhabitants.  I almost wouldn’t mind a good-quality historical novel on the topic:  but first, I want a factual account.
