A tiny breach appeared Monday in the wall protecting the New York Times from reality. Their editorial on immigration actually acknowledged that maybe, somewhere, somebody might be just a wee bit inconvenienced by mass immigration, based on reporting by one of their own people (and a study by my Center).
Their solution? More socialism! — “raising the minimum wage, improving public education, having a progressive income tax and making sure that workers’ rights are protected.”
Well, it’s not a good editorial, but maybe they’re ready to take the first of the 12 steps and at least admit that there’s a problem. At least it’s a more sophisticated understanding of mass immigration than the Wall Street Journal, though that isn’t saying much.
“Sokath, his eyes uncovered!” (you think Kathryn will let that one by?)
