Brian Kemp’s Political Successes Are Evidence of Traditional Conservatism’s Popularity

In the aftermath of the 2022 midterm elections, Dominic Pino wrote an excellent piece detailing Brian Kemp’s electoral successes.

Here’s another piece of information to drive home Dominic’s point about the Peach State governor’s political acumen: Kemp has a 62 percent approval rating among Georgia voters, a record high for him. Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the outlet that conducted the poll, notes that this is “an unusual position for a much-targeted incumbent in one of the nation’s premier political battlegrounds.”

How did Kemp pull off this feat? It’s simple — by adhering to traditional conservative principles. When he was under the gun from certain sectors of the Right for refusing to accept a fallacious narrative about the 2020 election, he didn’t cave and demonstrated his fidelity to the Constitution. For the “sin” of refusing to go along with Donald Trump’s charade and accepting Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s word that the 2020 presidential election in Georgia was kosher, Kemp has been pilloried as a RINO. But nothing could be further from the truth. He hasn’t compromised his conservative credentials in the slightest, even when pressured by powerful special interests to do so, and as a result, he’s made Georgians’ lives better. The voters recognize this, which is why they continue to approve of the job he’s doing.

Attaboy, Brian. Keep doing what you’re doing.
