This is perfect year for boilerplate Democratic populism. News comes out about more housing financing woes, unemployment went up, and one would think Obama would be soaring with those teleprompted little guy speeches. So why he is talking about old fish and pigs in disastrously spontaneous fashion (while Biden is, well, playing Biden moving from “good looking” to “step backward for women.”)? It is almost as if Obama were obsessed by Palin, his doppelgänger, and intent on making the past charges against him work now on her. They need ole Hil to come in, sit him down, and do the “economy stupid” tutorial. But alas, remembering her own charges of sexism against Obama, she’s more likely thinking “I warned you about this guy!”
