British Government 1 – Prince Harry 0

Prince Harry has lost his recent legal challenge against the British government. The Duke of Sussex claimed that despite “stepping back” from royal duties in 2020, he is still entitled to taxpayer-funded security while in the U.K. The High Court found that he isn’t. Moreover, the court ruled that the Home Office’s decision “wasn’t irrational [or] marred by procedural unfairness.”

Now the defeated Harry is liable for £1 million in legal costs and fees. Too bad he didn’t save himself the trouble and put that money towards private security instead.
