This is genuinely funny. A proposal in Parliament to change the rules of succession to the throne so that royals will be free to marry Catholics and males will no longer take precedence over females. The Prime Minister explained “I think in the 21st century, people do expect discrimination to be removed.”
Where is the British sense of humor here? Or better, sense of the absurd? We should have a 21st century non-discrimination policy in the selection of monarchs? That’s funny.
