The Brown Era Begins

Plenty of material here today to satisfy British readers, I suspect. I should also echo John’s comment about the excellent editorial yesterday, which spurred one Conservative correspondent to write:

I will say that this, from the editorial, is an excellent soundbite and I think we should steal it:”Blair’s central pledge in 1997 was that he would improve public services without raising taxes. Instead he has raised taxes without improving public services.”

Meanwhile, as the era of Gordon Brown dawns, Conservative Home has produced a music video about the prospects of a Brown government for the economy. It’s a pretty catchy tune.
